Teaming an ultra-reliable Dual marine CD player/receiver with a pair of Dual 6.5-inch speakers, this audio combo pack includes all the essentials for building a boat-based stereo system. The receiver features a built-in amplifier (50 watts peak x 4) to power the speakers, along with a host of marine-ready extras, such as clear-coated circuit boards, a rust-resistant chassis, and a UV-resistant face with a green display. As a result, the splash-resistant stereo stands up to light rains, ocean spray, scorching sun, and almost any other weather condition. The CD player, meanwhile, is compatible with both CDs and most CD-Rs, letting users play both store-bought discs and custom discs burned on a computer. And should folks tire of prerecorded music, they scan switch to the integrated AM/FM tuner, which offers 18 FM and 12 AM presets for quick tuning. The tuner even picks up seven NOAA weather channels, so you'll have plenty of warning should a storm gather.

The other half of the bundle--the pair of speakers--is also designed to withstand harsh weather thanks to the one-piece corrosion-resistant ABS baskets, integrated grilles, and rust-resistant self-tapping screws. Driver-wise, each speaker sports a 6.5-inch injection-molded polypropylene cone woofer with a poly-coated cloth surround. Combined, the drivers produce a crisp, powerful sound that's audible even over the top of a steady boat engine.

Further versatility stems from the system's multiple EQ presets (classical, pop, rock, jazz, beat, and more), which let listeners customize the audio settings based on genre and taste. And finally, the system offers an auxiliary input that connects a portable audio source, such as a cassette deck, iPod, MP3 player, or satellite radio receiver, for playback over the speakers. The auxiliary jacks are connected to an iPlug interface cable attached to the back of the unit.

Additional features include an illuminated face with rotary knobs and buttons, a pair of pre-amp outputs, and speaker power handling of 60 watts each. The speakers require a mounting depth of 2.27 inches with a cutout diameter of 5.07 inches. In addition, the entire package carries a one-year warranty on parts and labor.
